Uniting North

What We Do

In everything we do, we seek to serve and love Jesus together as a local church community. In this, we serve and love one another and the local community, we seek to bring people into a knowable and loving restorative relationship with Jesus, and we seek to equip Christians for the sake of God’s Kingdom.

 Our Ministries

Village Style Church

Villages are inter-generational environments, built upon members of the present, past, and future generations. The ‘village’ has never been more necessary than it is today. Together, we can meet the challenges of life, through a relationship with Christ, in Communities of faith. We sense Christ’s call to partner with, and support, parents on the Northern Gold Coast. We believe it takes a whole village to raise a child, which means the responsibility of raising a child does not lie with the parents alone, but also with the extended family and the whole Community.

Partnerships

Partnerships and supports are vital and necessary to nurture the next generation. We believe in the power of partnering with local organisations, agencies, and community in order to maximise our impact on the next generation and make Jesus known.

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing safe places where people are cared for, nurtured, and sustained in relationship with Jesus and one another. We commit ourselves to the care, protection and safety of all people, particularly those who are vulnerable. We commit to the ongoing ‘Compliance with Requirements of the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000’.

The Church Council

The Church Council adopts the Uniting Church in Australia, and Queensland Synod Child Safe Church policy and will ensure the implementation of procedures, including the Child Safe program and resources to assist it to meet and demonstrate its responsibilities under the Act.

Youth

While Uniting North does not currently have a regular youth program, we are in the process of seeking our way forward to provide the facilities and groups to cater for the youth of the area and of our families in church.

Anyone serving on our Youth Program holds a Blue Card.

Kids

Uniting North offers age appropriate programs during the second half of our Sunday service.

  • Grades 3-8 have a discipleship based focus. This is an interactive group where they can dig deeper into God's word, getting to know Him and each other more personally.
